Synopsis
Late 19th century on a small Aegean Island during winter, an impoverished elderly woman, despite enduring numerous hardships, must protect her two orphaned grandchildren and secure their survival. Her battle is immense, made even more challenging by the harsh winter as Christmas approaches. She fights with all her strength, relying solely on her unwavering and boundless love for the children. This silent love, though hard to express, permeates every moment and guides her actions. When despair threatens to overwhelm her, life itself—having taken almost everything from her—paradoxically intervenes, offering a gentle smile.
